Developing Creativity and Curiosity in Children are Important

Children are curious by nature.

They are born eager to learn. Their inner desire to explore as they try to comprehend their environment is what makes them creative and everything is wonderful.

Unlike adults, toddlers and infants are not bound by the rules of the norms of society, every experience is different. Giving them more opportunities will help develop their creativity and curiosity.

Curiosity has been linked with psychological, emotional, social, and even health benefits, for both children and adults. Furthermore, by allowing children to contemplate different resolutions, thus boosting children’s confidence, using their imagination it builds social and emotional development.

We are in a day and age when we’re measured by our achievement. We are worried about these things:

  • test scores
  • learning sooner
  • learning faster
  • achieving more,

But we also must not forget about the importance of creativity. It is important to develop the creative side early in children, continuing through the older years

However, I agree that it is also important for the children to achieve academic success too.

Infants/Babies (age 0 to 15 months)

Babies/Infants activity’s for developing creative is very simple and fun. They are truly creative in their way, being completely spontaneous in their actions and reactions.

For an example see how a small baby might react, if they bring up a small amount of milk. Baby is on his tummy on the floor.

  1. He sees the milk, interesting
  2. feel it – warm and wet
  3. Pats it -still wet
  4. Tried to taste it, YUCK

The baby was using his physical senses to explore his world, his actions were creative. Babies use all their senses to explore their world, while trying to understand it.

Development always occurs in several areas at a time. Baby evolve a variety of motor skills, while being creative:

  • crawling around exploring different textures
  • rolling a ball
  • Playing with toys that fit his hand
  • catching a balloon, and feeling its texture, as he gets older the little tike try to sit on it.
  • splashing in any water he can get too

Simple games are always great:

  • Looking around for someone hiding under a blanket or behind their hands.
  • Curiosity is linked to creativity, both are important skills to have and to hone . However, there is a decline in both, curiosity and creativity between the ages of five and eight, bottoming out in preadolescence, unless we keep it going. Parents can nurture these lost skills by reinforcing children’s habits of curiously.

Toddlers (15 months to 2.5 years)

There are various stages of creative development in toddlers (15 months to 2.5 years) Moving into that 2ND year, you can continue developing creativity by giving the child opportunities to make choices as well as, free play time (as long as it is safe). This is for developing their creativity.

Below are some ideas to help your little ones:’

Sight

  1. Colored streamers by open window, so streamers will blow in the breeze,
  2. A mirror that the child can see in.
  3. Simple pictures, (maybe laminated for safety) so they can touch and feel the pictures.
  4. Mobiles and pictures over the toddlers bed and changing table, pictures are always good.

Hearing

  1. Singing to them
  2. Soft music at sleep time
  3. Dance music when you dance around with them
  4. Make sounds of animals, trains and other, common sounds, telling what it is

Touch

  1. Splash in water
  2. Finger paint, They can even use a leaf to paint with, if your little one doesn’t try to eat it
  3. Soft toys, compare to the surface of a cool window glass
  4. Smooth surface of tile floor versus the rough textile of the carpet
  5. Sticky substance

Smells

  1. Smell a lemon
  2. Smell flowers
  3. Your bottle of perfume

Taste

As for taste, toddlers often have a strong like and dislike. Taste is very much connected to smell. While giving food to baby, tell them the name of it .

Don’t step in (unless it is not safe),

Letting children work through thing them self is worth it. I know it is hard for most parents, but it is good for them to be forced to learn problem solving on their own.

As the children’s skills increases, offer more play materials that they can control, and manipulate, things that will make an impact on them. For example: Blocks, play dough, dolls, puzzles, non-toxic art materials, and interlocking toys, to encourage children’s senses and thinking abilities. Children explore blocks, as in size, shape, numbers, texture, weight, and balance.

Look at all the amazing complex learning just from blocks .

Gradually introduce your child to the world away from home.

By now, they have pretty much explored the yard, and around the neighborhood. As child explore they check out Bugs, flowers, grass, and leaves. Now is the time for beyond their area.

Trips

Visiting the Zoo.

  • (The Zoo) is an exciting place to go, your little one will love all the animals, all there shapes, sizes, and colors ( plus the bird and Aquatic species such as turtles. The animals make weird faces and sounds at you.
  • (The Beach) with the water, sand, ocean waves, ocean breezes, sun (don’t forget the sun screen). Also, sea shells, (they can start a collation or make a collage to hang in their room).
  • (Children Museums are great). The kids can touch thing etc.

Back at Home – there is art and crafts plus more

There are always more things to do.

  • For quite time, a paper grocery bag, (as long as it is safe), To gather their treasures in the paper bag. A cardboard box is also great, a magnifying glass, (with adult supervision). Digging shovel, and a bucket, a bug catcher etc.

Why, Why, Why – the Golden word

Why, Why, Why, it is a constant childhood word, that parents are relieved when their preschoolers outgrow this urge to ask questions, Actually don’t let it stop. It is the best thing you can do for your child, It helps sustains their curiosity which is linked to creativity, as we know both Curiosity and Creativity is linked, and both start to decline between 5 years and 8 years of age. Bottoming out in preadolescence. In the teen years, curiosity is further undermined by the premium placed on knowing the “right answers” for standardize testing.

According to Tony Wagner of the Change Leadership Group at Harvard School of Education, group qualities such as curiosity, creativity, and imagination are for today’s Kids “While the three R’s are still important, but are more for the previous generation”. Corporate executives agree. In a 2011 survey, 1500 CEOs’ named Creativity as the most important leadership competency for the future.

How do you Spell C-U-R-I-O-S-I-T-Y

Creativity is well beyond our current art classroom in our school’s today, they follow directions. While they need to use their ability to explore and respond flexibly to our environment in new and meaningful ways. However, art lessons and projects also help reinforce creativity. Although the best way to teach them and develop creative thinking is by making their habits of curiosity part of all the children’s life every day.

C: Connect creativity, curiosity, and Caring.

– Wondering and questioning is the beginnings of creativity. Finding solutions is as important as asking good questions. Being caring and interested in what we’re doing stimulates creativity

U: Using uncertainty

-Not only the end result of something is important, but the creative thinking is what matters in creativity.

R: Reflect, Refine

– What Neuroscience calls “mind wondering” is along with right-brain intuition and imagination, it is visual and processes information an intuitive and simultaneous way. While creating anything new involves the rational evaluating left brain. When, connecting old information in a new way that triggers creative insight. But we must pause, reflect, and focus on refining it, to make any new ideas work.

I: Investigate Multiple viewpoints

– While challenging different points of view by investigating, we can get past familiar solutions, if we can minimize our fear of being wrong, then exploring, we can find a fresh perspective.

O: Observe closely

– Carefully observe with sharpened awareness, entrance perception and capture more information, noticing and absorbing detail, with all your senses.

S: Stick with it

– Creativity is a process, you need to persist in even when a problem is difficult. When you need to stop, recharge, it is important. Then return to the task with a fresh eyes.

I: Imagine

– We can get past familiar or superficial solutions, by investigating different points of view and challenging assumptions, using a fresh perspective.

Y: You are not an island.

– Intuition and knowledge expands opportunities for discovery. Collaborating with others sparks ideas in unpredictable ways.

Suggestions for Nurtuturing Curiosity

Michigan State University Extension – offers the following suggestions for nurturing curiosity

  • Wonder aloud. – When we say out loud. “I wonder why the lake is frozen,” We are modeling what it means to be curious.
  • Encourage natural interests. – If your child is interested in painting, for example, then give them lots of different opportunities to paint.
  • Answer questions simply and clearly. – However, no matter the age, always ask your child first what their thoughts are before answering.
  • Use open-ended questions. – Use who, what, when, where, why and how to stimulate your child’s curiosity.
  • Redirect versus discourage.- Give your child an opportunity “in a safe way” to explore their interests. If it is something unsafe, say houseplants, give them chances to play in the dirt. If they like to pour water out of their cup, then move them to a tile floor or give them similar items to play with outside or in the bathtub to have a similar experience.
  • Have open-ended material available. – When we give children items to play with like blocks, water, sand, pots and any art material, we are giving them the chance to use their curiosity about how to play with the item. Many store-bought toys can only be used in one way and do not challenge the child to figure out a way to play with it on their own.

Creative Minds need Nurturing.

Here are some tips for nurturing:

  • Spend time outside
  • Natures benefits for Children’s development is endless. Nature provides countless opportunities, they make discovery, creative, and problem solving. Outdoors in Nature, children are inspired to thing, question, make theory, and develop creative minds.
  • Give your little tyke a scenario. With a scenario, the child tries a lot of different thinking and organizes his thoughts, through the use of his imagination of ingenious thinking, while developing social and verbal skills. Encouraging them to play house, zoo, farm, space station, school, or store.
  • How about superheroes, What power would your little one want as his superpower. He could create a new superhero!
  • Verbal activities Play games, like “I Spy” make up some songs, silly sound, these activities are also good for trips in the car.
  • Also, verbal interactive activities. They can inspire and nurture creative minds, also can build vocabulary and help with phonics.c
  • Art activities. Art should be an expression of the child’s imagination, (I’m not speaking of art lessons,) the child’s self -expression in art provides a sense of freedom and also encourages focus and concentration. Furthermore, Art activities develop fine motor skills and hand-eye cooperation, and also confidence through the mastery over materials in a new creations.
  • Share literacy activities. Reading time is great, you can discuss different possibility for the end, make up stories, at times use the child ‘s imagination an make them the main character in the story.
  • Ask open-end question, and thought-provoking questions that provoke imaginative and creative things, this allows the child to express their ideas and share their visions.
  • Ask your child. Tell me 3 things you like best about yourself?

. What hobbies or free time activities do you enjoy the most?

. What is the different between a dog and a cat?

CHILDREN ARE THE FUTURE OF THE WORLD

The more curious a child is the more they learn.

  • Higher levels of positive emotions are shown to be associated with curiosity, and have lower levels of anxiety, with more satisfaction with life, and greater psychological well-being.
  • There are so many things that curiosity and creativity do for us. They are linked together and we have been told they both start declining between the ages of five and eight, bottoming out in preadolescence.
  • Curiosity is further undermined during the teen years, by the premium we place on “right answers” for standardized testing.
  • Thinking skills, such as critical and creative is as essential for students who plan to work and excel in the 21 century workforce.
  • This is all important for the future of our children with all the new technology and the new technology that is coming, we need to prepare our children, maintain the critical thinking and creative thing to keep up with the future.

ALBERT EINSTEIN said

“I have no special talents. I am only passionately curious,”

WALT DISNEY said

“We keep moving forward, opening new doors, and doing things because we’re curious and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths.”

JUST AN ADDED NOTE

Mostly what I have been talking about is called in today’s terms, STEM, which stands for the new Science . Technology. Engineering. Math. It is practically in every aspect of our future

Per the, National Inventors, Hall of Fame.

All young people should have the change to become innovators, educators, researchers, and leaders.

According to the “U.S. Department of Education” They should be prepared to think deeply and to think well:

So they can solve the most pressing challenges facing our nation and our world, both today and tomorrow.

When you add STEAM and STREAM to STEM, You are adding: STEAM which (ADDS “ART”), and STREAM (ADDS “READING ” or “RESEACH” and “ART”)

If you would like more information, you can go to google, and look up STEM

I hope you found this interesting

One of the best things you can do for your baby is to get them a name puzzle or even better if they get a personalized name puzzle. These puzzles can be fun and highly education for the kids to play with. Nothing compares to the sense of accomplishment they get from arranging their name, figuring out the correct spelling.

There are many other things that you can do with a name puzzle. For instance, they can be hung on the wall to give the room an aesthetic appeal. Keep it as a souvenir that stays in the room, ever if your kid becomes a grown- up.

You cannot even imagine how many times these blowout cloths need to be thrown away.

A blowout blocker works like a barrier between the baby’s clothes and the diaper blowout security level by cons. You know what that means? More relief for the parent. The blowout blocker provides an added security level by containing the mess and makes it easy to clean up.

picture of baby nurseryAllow us to show to you some of the best BABY’S NURSERY IDEAS and

inspirations for decorating baby’s room. Whether you, need a

a theme for a girl or boy, everything is right here.

A baby, nursery is perhaps the cutest room in the house, and

why not, it’s a room for babies! However, when it comes to

designing, most parents often take a traditional route filing it with

pastel colors. Well, it doesn’t have to be that way for your kids,

especially with all the designs and options available out there.

Now we know what you’re thinking – the baby doesn’t care what

the room looks like, and you’re right, but we also know that you

do. You want the best for, your newborn and hang some cute

and adorable pictures on the wall. All in all, if you want to create

a beautiful world for your baby, here are some amazing ideas and

inspirations for.

Adding Fun Motion

picture of baby in baby set

Babies love being rocked to sleep, and we can all agree on that.

The soothing effect of back and forth motion with a pleasant home

decor will make every sleep memorable for your baby. You can

get a cool contemporary rocker or a hanging chair in the room.

Decorate the Ceiling

picture of different nursery

Probably the most ignored element in any room is the ceiling. You

cannot have a beautiful, comfortable, elegant nursery without

decorating the ceiling. Think for a second, a ceiling is one of the

most noticed part of the room, and therefore, you need to make

sure it is well decorated. Add some funky colors, designs,

patterns to makes sure baby always has a view to enjoy.

Bold Colors & Patterns

different nursery picture

BABY’S NURSERY IDEAS have come a long way, and soft pastels are not

the only choice to go for. According to many parenting gurus, one

of the best things you can do as a parent for your little one is

stimulating the baby.s vision. You can use black and white stripes

or light and dark contrasting colors.

You might be wondering what’s wrong with using nice and soft

pastel colors? Well, there is nothing wrong with using them;

however, they do nothing visually for your baby. Research has

proven that black and white colors has a high contrast register

allowing strong signals to be sent to the baby’s retains. Strong

signals to the brain mean faster visual development and more

brain growth.

Space that Grows with the Baby

baby nursery

We are no longer in the traditional ways of decor, where there was

a constant need to upgrade the room and its furniture. Now you can

go with modular furniture that can be used beyond
the first year. Many

crib styles nowadays convert into children’s beds, while changing

tables are often a regular dresser with a
detachable dressing tabletop.

You can always add fun elements to baby’s nursery like animals,

rocking chair, or a tent that baby will use as he/she grows into a

toddler.

The Nursery Theme

nursery

When you are deciding the theme for your baby’s nursery, commit to

it fully and be bold. Use certain elements of the theme that

complement the whole interior. Having a particular theme will give

the nursery an additional touch of elegance and the flair. That’s

what makes so many of the featured nursery ideas in the feature

gallery so appealing.

Nature at Its Best

one more babies room

Adding some plants and flowers to the whole decor can have

significant health benefits for your baby. Anyone who has ever bought a

houseplant would admit that having indoor plants takes your home

interior-look to a whole new level. Not only does it make your home look

beautiful, but it also has plenty of health-related benefits.

One of the best plants for a baby,’s nursery is an English Ivy. The Plant

is known for purifying up to 94% of airborne mold particles that can trigger

all allergies. “So if” you’re looking to give your baby the cleanest air to

breathe, this is the way to go.

If you want to improve the cognitive performance of your baby, we

suggest adding rosemary to the nursery. Rosemary can easily be planted

in a pot and put in any spot where it has access to bright sunlight.

(Or you could use a plant light)

Buy A Cool Crib

cool crib

OK, so you cannot ignore buying the coolest crib for your baby. There are

many designs for you to choose from and I suggest going for something

more modern, maybe like an oval crib. Or something like in the BABY’S

NURSERY IDEAS Gallery.

Are you wondering why it is important? Well, what happens when you are

feeling tired and couldn’t get a good sleep because your mattress is not

good enough? Like adults, babies also need a good sleep too. Remember,

a comfortable crib equals a happy baby mean less crying.

Also, makes sure the crib is study enough to handle the little ones jumping.

Not just focus on design aspect.

GO FOR SOMETHING MORE NEUTRAL

go neutral colorNowadays, parents prefer to keep the sex of the baby a surprise for

themselves, which means they simply don’t know what color should

be in the nursery. Well, why not go for something neutral, something

that fits perfectly whether you have a girl or a boy.

I highly recommend going with a timeless and modern Grey as your

nursery’s main color. Grey works with and bold accent shade,

making it modern but classic.

BABY’S NURSERY IDEAS have changed so much. – There so much fun

Here are some of the best inspirations and design ideas for a modern-day

baby’s nursery. It’s incredible how much you can do with a room meant

for babies. These are just a few top baby nursery decor ideas, and there

is so much more you can do – it all depends on how far you want to go.

I how you found what you were looking for.

Feel free to share your feedback. I would love to hear from you.

This helps continue encouraging baby to strengthen those neck and

upper-body muscles. Per AAP (American Academy of Pediatric).

The AAP advise to start baby,s tummy time the first day home.

Starting with just about 3 to 5 minutes is best, then increasing, as baby

gets older. You can lay on the floor, with baby to make faces and

noises, encouraging baby to raise their head. Also, lay out colorful

toys While baby’s in tummy time, you could roll your little tyke to his

3. Your little tyke will soon learn to imitate others. To help them learn

to imitate, repeat back to the baby whatever they do, making sounds

or facial movements.

4. When talking to your precious one it is always a good idea

to use their name. The will soon recognize who you are speaking

to.

5. Provide baby with different textures like, carpet, wood flooring,

grass etc. They will love to feel the different textures.

Learning activities for 0-3 month old, are quite simple, but they give

You are an Amazing Baby

You are an Amazing Baby – Full of Surprises

happy newborn baby

Precious little one you are beginning on an awesome journey like no other.

Parents when you are watching your little tyke growing and developing, especially so much at the beginning of their new life.

There are many cool facts I have heard and would like to share with you about your little miracle.

Infants are born to dance – You are an Amazing Baby

They are born with the ability to respond to the rhythm and the tempo of music, they find the music,

more pleasing than even speech. Music helps give added literacy skills, while developing strength

and endurance. As they dance and jump around, they are happy and full of joy.
It is a lot of fun for

all, as well as provides health benefits for baby too.

Surprising how early babies can identify rhythm in the music, it is good to introduce music as early

as possible, Babies familiar with music have better literary skills, they are learning to decode words

and sound

The baby’s brain will double in size over the first year, making it 60% of an adults brain.

It seems impossible that their little head has billions of cells eager to get to work, ready to

develop the connections necessary for everything from their first cry, first step, first diploma,

to a lifetime of loving and socializing. The brain is so active during the first few months,

as many as 1 million new neural connection form every second, 60% of baby’s energy goes

into the brain.

Taste buds – Infants have a sweet tooth

Your Baby can’t taste salt until around 4 months. But they do have a keen sense for sweet

and sour. I’ve heard that Breast Milk is said to be sweet, that is why they like it so much.

The delay for salt maybe do to the development of the Kidneys, the Kidneys start to process

Sodium at about 4 months.

Your little tyke has about 30,000 taste buds, they are on the tonsils, back of the throat, as well

as, the tongue. Adults only have about 10,000. Babies use their mount to explore, and

learn . Their mouths give them a handy way to know different textures and taste, it can

be a none food item as well as food, this is called mouthing.

No Kneecaps – But lots of Bones

This is a surprising tidbit. Babies are born without real Kneecaps, they only have cartilage,

it begins growing into a bony kneecap around 3 to 5 years, expanding into a real kneecap

about 10 to 12 years old. While on the other side of the bone story, baby has 300 bones which

decreases into 206 when they have all fused together, having the same 206 as adults do.

No Tears – Baby cries without tears

Babies may cry for many reasons like:

  • just plan fussy
  • tired
  • upset stomach
  • frightened
  • uncomfortable
  • hungry
  • just wants to be held and receive attention
  • or it could be real pain

There will be no tears until about 3 or 4 weeks

Baby’s Tiny Tummie – Starts at the size of a nut

Staring at birth the stomach is the size of a hazelnut. Then comes day 3, it’s the size

of a large marble. Then day 10 a size of a golf ball.

  • Day 7 – stomach holds 1 to 1.4 teaspoon at a time
  • End of week 1 —- 1 to 2 ounces per feeding
  • Weeks 2 and 3 —- 2 to 3 ounces per feeding (daily 20 to 25 ounces)
  • Weeks 4 and 5 —-3 to 4 ounces per feeding (daily 25 to 35 ounces)
  • At about a month to 6 months, the milk intake is about the same

No Color in the World after Birth – only Monochrome

How exciting it is to watch your little one start to explore the world. Although, it is hard

to believe that your sweetheart can only see the world in color from the third month of

life. For the first month after Birth, they can only perceive the world in monochrome.

Baby’s first color recognized is red. The last is blue and purples. So for now baby doesn’t

care which color the adorable little ones room is.

Thousands of Diapers Adorn the Cute Little

Bottom – They’re on a 20-minute schedule

Sounds like a lot of late night trips to the store, don’t forget the wipes. Did you know

that you well have put up to about 10,000 diapers over the baby’s Bottom by the first

regular potty training.

the average

  • 0 to 1 month —- 10 to 12 a day (320 a month)
  • 1 to 5 months old — 8 to 10 a day (870 a month)
  • 5 to 9 months old — 8 a day (870 a month)
  • 9 to 12 months old —- 8 a day (729 a month)

Time to stock-up — Good Luck

Do Newborns have swimming talents – You

should see their legs and arms go

Baby gives the appearance of swimming, But Sorry.

When placed in water on their tummy their heart rate slows down, they hold their

breath. But more incredible is that they naturally move their legs and arms.

However, the American academy of Pediatrics don’t recommend swimming program

for infants till 1 year old. The little ones don’t have enough strong to hold their head above

water, also their not old enough to hold their breath long enough. They could drown.

The Baby has Hair in the Womb – How about that

Have you ever imagine your sweetheart with fur, or a beard or how about a big old

mustache? OF COURSE NOT!

In the womb your little one, at about 14 or 15 weeks, baby’s tiny hair begin poking

through their skin slightly. Hair follicles are formed before the 22 week.

The tiny hair continues poking through till baby is covered by soft material call lanugo (hair). This keeps baby

warm. As they grow more they add fat to their body, that then keeps them warm.

At that time the lanugo (hair) starts to shed. Most newborns have lost all the

hair by Birth.

Children are the Future of the World – You

are an Amazing Baby

These things are very special. How nature can create so many spectacular sets of

processor to create such a wonderful, adorable, loving little person. This is one of the

most beautiful things their is. Always treasure it, and take a lot of pictures you won’t

be sorry.

Please feel free to share your feedback.

MY LOVABLE INFANTS AND TODDLERS – WHEN YOUR PRECIOUS INFANTS AND TODDLERS LEARN TO LOVE

Love actually comes before the baby is born while they are still
in the womb. Baby can hear, hearing is established  by the
seventh month. (So it is important to talk and even sing to
them.) They also can  feel, and even smell their mothers
fragrance.Baby can also adopt their mothers emotional state.
Your babystarts to feel a connection with you from the
beginning.

grandparents

"Though" coming months you will have an exciting adventure
watching your little tyke grow and develop.
But no baby can do it alone. Loving contact with others is
essential.

When Your Precious Infants and Toddlers – Learn to Love From the Moment Your Infant is Born, They Feel Attachment to There Parents

At a very early age, babies have the emotional capabilities to
show feeling. They form a deep loving bond. Babies bond with
people thatare regular caregivers. People giving care and
affection like parents, daycare workers, and grandparents.

Bonding comes in many forms, some are:
  • Talking to them
  • Caressing they’re little cheeks, arms, and legs
  • Holding the baby and cuddling them
  • Skin to skin contact
  • Comfort and affection teaches the newborn to trust the
parents. Human touch is critical. When a loving adult hugs the
child, the little one relaxes and feels safe. When an infant is
held and stoked, the brain releases critical
hormones that spur growth.
WAYS YOU TELL IF YOUR BONDING IS SUCCESSFUL
At the beginning baby's signs of affection is very subtle but
they will be their.

Below are some subtle sign:

Imitating is said to be a form of flattery, or so we have
heard.

Well it is true for babies too. Tying to mimic your
actions is one they show their love.

Babies know your particular scent, and will open their
mouth to breathe in you fragrance. That is a good way
you have of knowing you bonding is going well.

When baby settles close in your arms, that is showing
their trust in you. Cuddling is probably the best
indication that your little one is totally in love with
you. It is one of the sweetest things we can experience.

Your baby will turn his head when hearing the sound of
your voice, knowing mommy is around. Recognizing you is
another sign of a successful bonding.

Babies show their emotions on their faces, they are unable
to fake their feeling. If the baby is happy to see you
they will perk up, and their eyes light up.

The bond between mother and child can grow stronger when
the infant look deeply into your eyes, and you should do
the same

Also, nursing or bottle feeding is a primary way to bond.
By cradling your baby and nourishing her you're letting
her know she's loved and protected. In fact the
connection you forge during feeding is as vital to your
infant's well-being as the nourishment benefit of food its
self.

All of your loving care comes back to you, when baby
starts reaching out to you or starts babbling.

Bonding sometimes takes a little longer, and that's okay.
Having a newborn can be difficult sometime. We should
continue working on developing the bond of love. It can
not be forced, just be patient and loving.

A HEALTHY INFANT IS BORN WITH ALL THAT'S NEEDED FOR A
HAPPY AND PRODUCTIVE LIFE

That little head contains billions of brain cells eager to get
to work, ready to develop the connections necessary for
everything that child will do - from that first cry to that
first step, to that first diploma, to a lifetime of loving and
socializing withothers. But no baby can do it alone. Loving
contact with another human is essential. When a child gets that
all-important nurturing care early on, the young brain develops
at an astonishing rate.

The first few years matter most. A baby's brain is so active
during the first months that as many as 1 million new neural
connections are forming every second. The brain is busier than
it will be at anyothertime. In fact, 60% of a baby's energy
goes into brain development! By the third year, a healthy brain
will have formed one thousandbaby receives loving one-on-one
care, responsivecare. Simpleknowing how to teach caregivers to
provide loving responsive care to the children in their the
children charge is the key ingredient.

BABY SHOWS SIGNS OF GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT

Sometime between 4 and 10 weeks (1 to 3 months) babies
start to smile spontaneously rather than by reflex .
Baby's first social smile is one of the most wonderful things
in the world. Social smiles are an important part of their
development, and a great sign you have bonded with your child.

Babies might not know how to talk, but will try to

communicate with her cooing and babbling. They maybe telling
you a story or about her day. Talk with her, not just baby talk.
The fact that baby wants to talk to you is a sure sign that she
loves you. Around 2 months your settling into a routine, baby
will reward you with a glimmer of her personality. Parenthood
WHEN THEY ARE AROUND 8 OR 9 MONTHS

Around 8 or 9 months is when babies start demonstrating
affection for their peers. That provided they spend lots of
time with other little ones. They light up when seeinga friend.
Now that she is a little older she may pull away to signal
that she wants to exercise her little body on the floor, or
roll over, or start to crawl.

ABOUT NINE MONTHS TO A YEAR OLD THEY WILL BECOME TODDLERS

Playing by their self, walking, and kissing. Toddlerhood is a
prime time for making friends, having memory to recall,
enjoyable experiences, and starting to understand empathy, and
playing with peers. Help children practice social behavior,
such as cooperation, sharing, and kindness.

MY LOVABLE INFANTS AND TODDLERS HAVE HAD A LONG JOURNEY

The lovable babies have come a long way. Learning, growing and
developing, from newborn through one year, plus some, while
learning to LOVE. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.
Whether their dragging their favorite blanket down the stairs
or talking to their baby doll, their showing how cool, he thinks
you are by trying to imitate you. When infants and toddlers are
exposed to more words by 18 months tend to have a faster brain
processing speed. How quickly the child develops into a social
creature. She is a growing, thriving, and learning to LOVE.

 THEN THEIR ALL GROWN UP

YOUR Story Everyone Welcome to Those Lovable Infants and

YOUR Story

Everyone Welcome to Those Lovable Infants and Toddlers website. For many years I have cared for children

of all ages, but my passion has been for Infants and Toddlers. For the last five years I have worked at a learning

day care center, my position was to work with 1 month to 1 year old. It was amazing to watch them grown

and change. We helped them with their motor skills, rolling over, crawling, siting up and walking. Part of

teaching was showing pictures, reading to them, and singing songs. I enjoyed doing this with the children

and you will too.

WHY YOU WANT TO HELP PEOPLEI|

My life with children has been very rewarding and educational.

Learned about children from many people over the years, starting at 12, I spent a lot of time babysitting, while I was

teaching them, they taught me as well. We went to the park, for walks and did many other educational activities., After raising

a family, I found myself wanting to work with children again. So I had a day care in my home for 2 or 3 years

Then I started working in a Learning care center which was more structured to better assist the children in motor skills and

other activities.

At the school we had educational classes, all day seminars and discussions sessions. We also had to work with the State

regulations as well as school rules, this equipped me with knowledge and skills to help

others.

CHILDREN ARE THE FUTURE OF THE WORLD

We are not only trying to prepare the children for the future, we also work with the parents, we talk to them about

the activities of the day and answer questions about how they are progressing in their daily activities

Over the years many things have changed with the way children are being raises.

All the best,

Edith
